Fichtenberg (Germany),April 2nd 2013 –Withits timeless design, the Porsche 911 isthe icon ofsports cars. ForPorsche fanswho like tochange theirstandard wheels but still want to keep their Porsche ActiveSuspension Management (PASM), KWhas developed a KW coilover spring kit for the“911″ of the generation991. TheKW coilover spring kitmanufacturedin OEM quality allowsa continuouslowering, unlike to conventionalspringkits. So Porschedriverscan always adjusttheir personally desired loweringin the range of15 to 35 mm after changing wheel / tire combinations. To use the German TÜV-testedKWspringswithheight adjustment, no modifications atthePASM and the serial dampersare necessary.
Porsche drivers who are interested in getting a decent lowering, for example to put their new summer wheels in scene without having to replace the standard dampers, will now get an opportunity with the KW coilover spring kits. Manufactured from high tensile chrome silicon steel, these KW springs have a height adjustment to lowerthe sports car on both axles. “This has the great advantage,” said KW Product Manager Johannes Wacker, “that you do not have to decide a fixed lowering in advancelike it is the case at regular sport springs.” So the drivers are totally flexible regarding the level of lowering. For example it might happen that a lowering of 30 mm would be too low for his car and the lowering springs would have to be removed again. With the KW spring kits, this is not a problem. If the lower center of gravity by 30 mm would be restricting in daily use, the lowering can be regulated continuously with the height adjustment. At the KW coilover spring kits for Porsche 991, the continuous adjustment range is between 15 and 35 mm. The installation can be realized in any body shop within a few working steps. At the standard dampers no modificationsare necessary and the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) remains fully. The KW coilover spring kit for the Porsche 911 (Type 991) comes with a TÜV certificate.
